Benefits

The key fats in chia seeds help to lock in the nutrients and stop them from going mouldy which means they will last a while in storage. The antioxidants in the chia seeds help to rid the body of toxins as well as maintain good eye and skin health and have even been linked to reducing or slowing the signs of aging.

Although they are actually high in carbohydrates, most of these are healthy fiber which aim to keep you feeling fuller for longer and reduce hunger cravings after they have been consumed. In addition to this the fiber does not raise blood sugar when consumed which means they are suitable for diabetics or those with IBS or gut related issues.
