I love seafood, I love lobsters and yes I am a self confessed seafood fanatic. After a long long time, we went for a lavish lunch @ Red Lobster, after Legal seafoods this one is another treasure trove for seafood lovers.
We ate like kings and feasted upon the scrumptious lobsters, shrimps etc and came home all stuffed ! Though pricey and the bisque could have been much better, an overall a very good relaxing and enjoyable experience. We went for Sunday lunch and surprisingly we don’t have to wait in queue, given that they don’t accept reservations !
Interior decor was nothing spectacular, clean and clear decked up with wooden panels , old style lamps hanging down from the ceilings. In short a rustic old world charm much like a seashore villages.
Who does not loves freebies, specially when they are so soft and fluffy, these southern cheddar biscuits were just melted in mouth kinda ! Loved them !
In seaside starters, we ordered some lobster seafood stuffed mushrooms loaded with montery jack cheese, it was good to taste but could not trace the seafood in it ! May be cheese and mushrooms marries so well !
I don’t know why I have ordered the lobster bisque, it was good and that’s it ! Dont get me wrong if I have dreamt of lobster bisque in a sourdough bread bowl ! Cant go gaga over the bisque, I had tasted the better ones.
Between the starters, free biscuits and the main course there comes the bowl of crunchy garden salads, so waiting was not that boring and I took some more photographs of the interior, anything that caught my fancy actually !
Here comes the showstopper aka main course – the Ultimate Feast – A tender split Maine lobster tail, steamed North American snow crab legs, garlic shrimp scampi and Walt’s Favorite Shrimp with crispy fried red potatoes.
Now the dessert ! A single slice of lemony cheesecake, warm apple crostata, brownie with icecream – a sweet and nice finish to a grand luncheon.
We loved every bit of it and my seafood dream was not nightmarish ! However, there are always ways to improve and I would definitely love to go there again if they really started seeing seafood differently !
