Blackberry cobbler recipe
  • Fresh blackberries : 2 cup
  • Sugar: 1 cup
  • All-purpose flour: 2 cup
  • Baking powder: ½ tsp
  • Ground Cinnamon : ¼ tsp
  • Salt : 1 tsp
  • Milk : 1 cup
  • Butter, melted : ½ cup
  1. In a bowl, stir together blackberries and sugar. Let it stand for about half an hour or until fruit syrup forms. Refer the picture.
  2. In large bowl, sift the flour with baking powder, salt and ground cinnamon. Stir in the milk and the melted butter until well blended.
  3. Spread the flour mixture in ungreased 8-inch pan. Spread the blackberry sugar mixture over the batter evenly.
  4. In a preheated oven bake the cobbler at 375 F for 45 to 55 minutes or until dough rises and is golden. Serve warm with ice cream or freshly whipped cream.
You can either add the blackberries on top of the flour mixture or spread the flour mixture over the blackberry filling. If you bake it longer you will get cake like texture, else to get more softer and crumbly texture reduce the baking time by 10 minute.
