Durga puja is just a week away and here are some of the quick updates of this year Durga puja in Bangalore:

  • Ulsoor Lake Durga Puja organize by Bengalee Association is one of the oldest and the biggest Durga puja in Bangalore changes its venue from RBANMS ground to Gaytri Vihar, Palace grounds near Mekhri circle.
  • Bollywood singer Shaan (on 10th oct), ghazal king Jagjit Singh (on 17th oct), classical duo pt.Shivkumar Sharma and pt.Hariprasad Chaurasia along with Chondrobindo, Aurko and Indian Ocean will perform at the auditorium of Gaytri Vihar from October 10 th till 17th October 2010.
  • Jayamahal Sarbojanin Durga puja organize by Jayamahal Ladies Club is going to be the first theme based puja in Bangalore (just the way it happens in Kolkata) this year. So instead of a ordianary pandal you will be entering in a big life-size replica of the famous residence of Nobel laureate Rabindranath tagore- Jorasanko Thakurbari commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Rabindranth Tagore.
  • RT Nagar Durga Puja organize by RT Nagar Sarbajanin Durga Puja Samiti also changes its venue from Sai temple to Patel’s Inn, Next to Shriram White House complex, R.T Nagar Post office.
  • Sarjapur Durga puja by Sarjapur Outer Ring Road Bengalee Association (SORBA) changes its venue from sun city playground, ORR junction to Total Mall at ORR.

      Also there is a durga puja happening at BTM 2nd Stage, 29th Main, Opp BTM lake.

      Hi Ambar, the list of durga puja venue here is accurate. U can browse through durga puja bangalore 2010 and 2009. Well ulsoor lake durga puja held at gayatri vihar should not be missed, and then pujas at indiranagar, koramangala, jaymahal are all good and worth visiting. U can buy the tickets for ashtami bhog also.

    J.P.Nagar Puja has been moved to Jayanagar 9th block near HP petrol bunk after Cental (if you are coming from Jayadeva hospita, take right turn in HP petrol bunk, you can able to see two marriage halll, it is situated in one of them)

    R T Nagar puja – Patel’s Inn

    J P Nagar puja – 9th Block Jayanagar, nert HP petrol bunk.

    New puja – Koramangala

    KOLAJ – Near Jothi Nivas College, Opp to Lazeez.
    (road opp to FORUM, right turn from HDFC Bank)

      the location to marthahalii puja is near Marathahalli Bridge Railway Bridge on Varthur Main Rd ; Munnekolal, Opp Innovative theatre.

        One approach to reach monnekolala Puja Pandal:
        1. Come to marathalli, opposite to innovative multiplex
        2. Catch the road beside “Staples” show room. The road is called SGR Dental College Road.
        3. Reach near monnekolala bus stand.
        4. Ask for Govt School.
        5. The puja pandal is just inside the school compound.

      hey u can visit the sanjaynagar(antaranga bengali association) puja…its on the sanjaynagar main road just after foodworld take a right turn…u’ll get maharshi heritage center…thats the venue….otherwise u can go to malleshwarem(probasee bengali association)…its on the 8th main road canara union opposite more supermarket…

        The JP Nagar Puja has been shifted to Jayanagar 9th Block in GNR Kalyana Mantapa. If you are coming from Jayadeva Fly Over towards Banashankari, take the right turn immediately after Bangalore Central at the Petrol Bunk. If you come forward by about 200 meters, you will find first Srikrishna Mantapa and then the GNR Mantapa.

        The place is bigger than earlier Manatapa on Bannerghatta road. Hope you would like it.

      Sorry for delay…the RT nagar Puja addresss is given below….

      1)Bihar Bhavan, Next to Cafe Coffe Day in R.T.Naga

      2)At Sai Baba Temple , Near R.T Nagar Bus Terminus Sai Baba Mandir, HMT Layout, Anand Nagar, next to RT Nagar Bus Depot.
      You can take the road next to CBI office that takes off from Bellary Road towards RT Nagar Main Road. Go to the end, then take a left turn. Go across the BMTC Depot and reach the Sai Baba Temple.

    He .. he .. he .. Pujor venue gulo bodol hoye gele khoob asubidhe hoy. JP Nagarer pujota khunje khunje sara holam – kintu pelam naa. Ki kore janbo je devi Jaya Nagar 9th blk e dorshon dechchen. Jai hok…. Ekta sight hole kamon hoy jekhane Benalore somosto Dura Pujar sob details thakbe aar thakbe tader venue gulor thikana ??? Ete loker subidhe boi osubidhe hobe naa….. Ki bolen aapnara???
