Cook yourself any kind of pasta this weekend and pep it up with rich creamy broccoli and shrimps.
A yummy and tasty creamy broccoli with shrimp – a perfect companion for any kind of pasta.
Shrimps: 3/4 cup
Broccoli florets (small): 1 cup
Garlic (minced): 1tsp
Onions (finely chopped): 2tbsp
Sour cream: 1/2 cup
Milk: 1 cup
Olive oil: 3tbsp
Black pepper powder: 1/2tsp
Salt to taste
Method to Prepare:
Clean, wash and de-vein the shrimps. Toss it with the salt and sauté lightly with little oil till the shrimps turn pink in color. Drain and reserve them.
Clean and wash the broccoli florets and sauté lightly with little oil for 2-3 minutes. Drain and reserve them.
In a separate pan put 1tbsp olive oil and sauté the minced garlic flakes. Next add the onions and sauté further till the onions turns translucent.
Cook on low heat and add the sour cream. Mix them well. Add the milk and mix properly.
Add further the shrimps and cook on low heat. Cover the lid and simmer for few more minutes till the shrimps are tenderly cooked.
Add the broccoli and cook for one more minutes.
Just a word of caution: don’t overcook the broccoli otherwise it will lose its beautiful emerald-green color.
Adjust the salt and sprinkle black pepper powder over it.
Serve the hot creamy broccoli-shrimps with your choice of pasta.
