Monday Vibes - BEETROOT BLISS BALLS ( recipe included)

Of late I am trying my hand on protein bars, balls and energy balls because if you have a 4 yr old at home, you need to find ways to keep her entertained that includes rhymes, stories, activities and food.

So together we made this bliss balls and she was super excited and amazed to see how the beets stained her hands beautifully.
She was not ready to wash her hands 🤦

RECIPE IN SHORT
To the finely grated beetroot ( I big size), add 1/4 cup grated coconut.
In a pan, heat some ghee ( 2tbsp) saute beetroot and coconut together till they becomes soft and tender. Add pinch of salt also.
++Add 1/2 cup coarsely ground dry fruit ( cashews, almond, pista and toasted sesame).
++ Add 3 tbsp Honey.
Mix everything together.
Make small balls from it. I got around 10 balls from it.
Store in the fridge.

Fry🔥day Special - SOYA GRAVY CUTLETS for dinner tonight.

These cutlets are made exactly the same way, with same set of spices, that normally goes into making Kolkata style mutton cutlets , sans any potatoes.
Little bit mashed chana dal and soaked poha has been used as a binder, instead of eggs. But no flour. So this is naturally a #glutenfreefood

A hot and spicy tomato - onion based gravy perfectly balanced out the flavours.

If you do not want the gravy, you can also serve these soya cutlets with green chutney as an appetizer, a crowd pleaser for sure.

For last few days I had almost read everything whatever is available in public domain, regarding the then Dak Bungalows of Colonial India , the life and tales which is always an interesting read, the letters that were written back home in England, the unkempt diaries and personal memoirs that always makes a fascinating read.

Then arrive this Mutton Dak Bungalow and Yellow Rice replicating the flavours of those colonial times.
